Can you remove hard water stains or calcium buildup?
Yes. We offer professional hard water stain removal using specialized, non-abrasive products that restore your glass without scratching or damage.

How do you clean screens and tracks?

How should I prepare for a window cleaning appointment?
Please move small items away from windows, raise blinds, and remove fragile items from windowsills. For interior cleanings, we'll need access to each room with windows.

Absolutely. We’re fully insured and experienced with onboarding through platforms like VendorCafe, NetVendor, and others.

Pressure Washing FAQs

What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?
Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to remove grime from hard surfaces like concrete and brick. Soft washing uses lower pressure with specialized detergents—perfect for siding, painted surfaces, and more delicate materials.

Is your pressure washing service safe for stucco and wood?
Yes. We assess every surface before starting. For stucco, we use soft washing. For wood decks and fences, we adjust pressure to prevent damage.

Can pressure washing help remove mold and algae?
Yes. Our pressure washing eliminates organic growth like algae, mold, mildew, and moss—especially important in shady or coastal areas like Venice and Marina del Rey.

Gutter Cleaning & Screen Repair FAQs

Do you offer seasonal gutter cleaning?
Yes. We recommend cleaning gutters twice a year—especially after fall and spring. We remove leaves, debris, and check downspouts for clogs.

Can you repair or replace torn window screens?
Yes. We offer on-site screen repair and re-meshing. For severely damaged screens, we can build custom replacements.

Additional FAQs

What causes hard water stains on windows near the coast?

Hard water stains are caused by mineral deposits — primarily calcium and magnesium — left behind when water evaporates. In coastal areas like Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, and Newport Beach, salt air combines with sprinkler overspray to accelerate this buildup. Over time, these minerals etch into the glass surface. Trip's Window Services uses professional-grade mineral removal solutions that dissolve these deposits safely without scratching the glass. The longer stains are left untreated, the deeper they etch — regular professional cleaning is the best prevention.

Is soft washing the same as pressure washing?

No. Pressure washing uses high-pressure water (2,000–4,000 PSI) to blast tough stains from hard surfaces like concrete and brick. Soft washing uses significantly lower pressure (100–500 PSI) combined with eco-friendly cleaning solutions that break down mold, algae, and mildew at the chemical level rather than by force. Soft washing is the right choice for stucco, painted surfaces, wood siding, and other materials that would be damaged by high pressure. Our technicians assess every job and choose the right method — you'll never get the wrong technique on the wrong surface.

What are the signs that my gutters need cleaning?

You don't always need to get on a ladder to know. Common signs include water spilling over the gutter edges during rain, sagging gutters pulling away from the roofline, water stains or mold along your fascia boards or exterior walls, plants growing from your gutters, and birds or pests nesting in them. If you notice any of these, don't wait — clogged gutters can cause serious water damage to your roof, foundation, and landscaping in a single heavy Southern California rain.

Can you clean second-story and high windows?

Yes. Trip's Window Services is fully equipped to safely clean windows on multi-story residential and commercial properties using professional-grade extension poles, water-fed pole systems, and rated ladders. The vast majority of residential homes in Los Angeles — including two-story and split-level properties — are within our standard service scope. Contact us to discuss very tall or high-rise commercial buildings.

Does window cleaning include screens?

Yes — we clean window screens as part of our full-service window cleaning. Screens collect dust and pollen that can transfer back onto freshly cleaned glass, so we brush and rinse them as part of the process. If a screen is damaged, we'll let you know during the service. If you prefer screens left in place, just mention it when booking.

Can pressure washing damage my landscaping or plants?

When done correctly, no. Our technicians use biodegradable, plant-safe cleaning solutions and are trained to work away from garden beds and irrigation systems. For jobs near sensitive landscaping, we wet down surrounding plants before and after the cleaning to dilute any solution contact. Mention any specific landscaping concerns when booking and we'll take extra precautions.

What is the best time of year to clean windows in Los Angeles?

Spring (March–May) is ideal after winter rains wash pollen and debris onto your glass. Fall (September–October) is also great — clearing gutters and windows before the rainy season. Coastal properties benefit from quarterly cleaning year-round due to salt air. For most inland homes, twice a year covers it. Avoid scheduling immediately before Santa Ana wind events, which can re-coat windows with dust within hours.

Can you clean windows if it's raining or windy?

Light rain or overcast conditions are fine — some professionals prefer it. We don't clean windows during heavy rain, high winds, or storms for safety reasons and because results wouldn't hold. If weather looks problematic on your scheduled day, we'll contact you to reschedule at no charge. Santa Ana wind days are the one condition we actively avoid.

Do I need to move furniture or clear windowsills before window cleaning?

For exterior window cleaning, no preparation is needed. For interior cleaning, we ask that you remove fragile items from windowsills and pull blinds or curtains back. We take care of everything else and work around heavy furniture — no need to move it.

How often should a business get its windows cleaned?

Retail storefronts, restaurants, and customer-facing spaces benefit from monthly or bi-monthly cleaning — dirty windows signal neglect to potential customers. Office buildings typically do well with quarterly service. Industrial properties may only need twice a year. HOA-managed communities often have cleanliness standards that dictate frequency. We'll recommend a schedule for your property and set up a recurring service contract so you never have to think about it.
